The daily case count in Ontario is 296 this morning, the lowest total it has been in 2021.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 296 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 540,426.
This is the smallest daily total in Ontario since September 17, 2020.
The Province confirmed 13 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,974. Another 645 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 526,440.
The province completed 17,162 tests yesterday. We currently have 433 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 382 people in the ICU and 244 in the ICU on a ventilator. Five regions make up almost all of the COVID-19 cases today with 62 new cases in Peel, 60 in Toronto, 45 in Waterloo, 15 in York Region and 13 in Halton.
