Before you get your hopes up about today's numbers, please note they do not include data from Toronto Public Health.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 745 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 270,925.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says today's numbers are an underestimate and do not include data from Toronto Public Health.
"Please note that Toronto Public Health has now migrated all of their data to the provincial data system, CCM. This migration has impacted today’s daily counts, resulting in an underestimation of cases. We anticipate fluctuations in case numbers over the next few days."
Meanwhile another 2,297 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 247,236. The Province has confirmed 109 cases of the UK variant of COVID-19 and 1 case of the South African variant.
The province completed 28,552 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,192 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 341 people in the ICU and 252 in the ICU on a ventilator.
