Today's numbers are once again not entirely accurate as Toronto Public Health continues to migrate it's system. The Province also confirmed 1,456 resolved cases and 29 new cases of the COVID-19 variant that originated in the UK.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 847 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 287,736. Once again, todays number are underreported as Toronto Public Health did not report all of their cases as part of their migration to ccm.
Ontario is also reporting 10 new deaths today related to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the Province to 6,729. Another 1,456 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 270,869. The Province also confirmed 29 new cases of the COVID-19 variant that originated in the UK bringing the total to 309. We also have 6 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 variant that originated in South Africa and 1 that originated from Brazil.
The province completed 33,977 tests yesterday. We currently have 719 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 298 people in the ICU and 211 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are once again coming from hot spot regions with 257 new cases in Toronto, 170 in Peel and 131 in York Region.
