Local realtors are dropping off the red and yellow door hangers this week.
OXFORD - It's that time of the year again!
The Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors (WITAAR) is gearing up for its 15th annual Realtors Care Food Drive.
Jessica Quesnel says they're distributing the door hangers in Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Sweaburg, Embro and Innerkip this week.
"We are on foot handing out the door hangers! They are red and yellow door hanger and they will be on the doors this week."
If you find one on your front door, that means volunteers will be in your community to pickup donations on Wednesday May 6th starting at 6:00 p.m.. All you have to do is leave some non-perishable food items on your front porch and the volunteers will do the rest.
Quesnel says lots of people always get involved.
"It's a really fun day and my kids look forward to it every year. We have our t-shirts, our hats, and off we go!"
The Realtors Care Food Drive first started in 2011 and it has collected about 232,303 pounds of food since then. All of the donations go to the food banks in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
Jessica Quesnel stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Cody and Marcie on Wednesday April 29th. You can listen to the full interview below:
