Woodstock is one of four Loblaws stores involved in the Ontario based pilot project.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Zehrs is a part of a pilot project where you have to scan your receipt if you want to exit the self-checkout area.
Loblaws has installed the scanners in four stores across the province. The others are located in Windsor, Oakville, and Georgetown.
The Woodstock scanner was not operational and covered in wrapping paper when CTV News was there yesterday. Loblaws also told CTV that the scanners are temporarily turned off sometimes, so they can "adjust the equipment and the processes as we learn."
We have received word that the scanners were also not being used this morning.
