United Way Oxford raised $1,301,252 during its 2024 fundraising campaign.
OXFORD COUNTY - Over $1.3 million was raised during United Way Oxford's latest fundraising campaign.
The exact number was $1,301,252 and Executive Director Kelly Gilson made the big announcement during United Way's 60th Community Celebration at the Sally Creek Community Centre in Woodstock last night.
"This is a record campaign in our history! Amanda Kreiger (the Resource Development Manager) had a goal of $1.3 million and we regularly said it wasn't going to happen, but because of Amanda, Megan, Lisa, Dale and all of the team it did happen because of you."
Ryan Westbrook, the General Manager for the Toyota plant in Woodstock, also had a special surprise for everyone.
"After supporting the Tillsonburg Lighthouse and seeing the impact it had on residents of that community, we couldn't wait to help in Ingersoll. So I have a surprise to share, I am happy to announce that TMMC (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada) will be donating $75,000 to support the Ingersoll Lighthouse!"
On top of all of this, King Charles Coronation Medal was also presented to Executive Director Kelly Gilson and longtime volunteer Beth Taylor.
