Twenty vehicles were weighed with 61 charges laid and 42 warnings were issued as a result.
OXFORD COUNTY - Sixty-one charges have been laid related to the OPP's Reduced Load Campaign.
Officers stopped 46 vehicles in East Zorra-Tavistock, Zorra Township, and South-West Oxford recently and 20 of them were weighed.
Some of the charges include having an overweight vehicle, having an oversized load, operating a vehicle with the load not secured as prescribed, and having improper brakes on a trailer.
Overweight vehicles can cause substantial damage to the roadways during the spring thaw, so the OPP will continue the Reduced Load Campaign until the end of the month.
