The Mayor of Blandford Blenheim Township is looking back on another successful year.
BLANDFORD BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP - It has been a year filled with community projects in Blandford Blenheim.
The Township worked alongside numerous community groups to make some things possible.
They partnered with the Friends of the Princeton Park to put in a walking trail, worked with the Drumbo Lions Club to construct a splash pad and helped Plattsville Lions Club create a skate park and a trail on River Road. They also working on some road extensions on Hofstetter Road and used a Canada 150 grant to renovate an old community hall and school house in Richwood.
Mayor Marion Wearn says it has been a successful 365 days.
"Mostly for us in Blandford Blenheim it's been working with different groups, partnering and trying to bring more accessibility, recreation and looking after children's needs for this 2017."
Wearn says they are hoping to keep the good spirit.
"We'll just continue to look for ways that we can improve things for our residents in 2018. At this point there are no specific projects that we're looking at, but we are open to any suggestions and anything that the public wants."
