Ingamo Homes will host its 3rd annual curling bonspiel on Friday December 6th.
WOODSTOCK - Ingamo Homes is wrapping up their 35th anniversary celebration with a curling event.
Ingamo Homes is a second stage women's home that offers programs for women, children and transitional services. Fundraising Coordinator, Sophie Foster sheds some light on the event coming up.
"This is our 3rd annual curling bonspiel. So, it is going to be a fun tournament that is open to the public, anyone can come. It is on December 6th, it is a Friday."
Foster says it will be a full day of curling, food, and different ways to help raise money for the organization. Foster adds because it is a fundraiser, there is a goal in mind for the organization.
"Our goal is to hopefully raise $15,000 for Ingamo. So, in order to do that it will be through the team sign-ups, and it will also be through a silent auction and penny sale."
Foster says there is a big push to have as many local businesses support the event, whether that is signing up a team or donating to the silent auction or penny sale. She mentions there is still time for local businesses to donate items for the auction.
