It is the final day for families to register for the Supplies 4 Students program. You have until 11:59 p.m. tonight to submit your registration.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Supplies 4 Students campaign is sending out a last call.
Registration for the program will end today, and Executive Director of United Way Oxford, Kelly Gilson says that wants to register should do so quickly.
"Today is the last day, it is at 11:59 tonight it closes. That is for those looking to register. Those looking to donate dollars, we will continue to take those well through the fall."
Gilson adds that anyone looking to donate to the program can still do so via their website unitedwayoxford.ca/supplies4students.
She mentions that the numbers for the program continue to grow as circumstances change year to year.
"As of this morning, we have just over 1200 students registered. Those are Oxford County students from JK through to Grade 12."
Gilson states that the current number of registrants is on par to what they were last year, but she expects the number to grow before the deadline tonight.
She also wants to send out a special thank you to the partners, sponsors and all those that have already donated.
The generosity helps United Way Oxford ensure that help is available for families that are struggling financially so that all Oxford County students can start the school year with the tools they need to be ready to learn.
