An emotional twelve hours for many who participated in the Relay for Life in Tillsonburg Friday night. Over one thousand people came out to the Annadale Public School track to join in the festivities. Bonnie Philips is a volunteer with a rather special job as the Survivor Convener. "Many of them come up to me and they want to tell me about their diagnosis and what they've been through. The entire evening is just to celebrate the survivors and, of course, remember those we have lost as well." Cindy Hamilton is a survivor. She?s part of the eighteen person group called "Angels Among Us" from the Tillsonburg Hospital. "I'm a three year breast cancer survivor. Three years ago when I first had breast cancer my friends and colleagues all came together and developed a team for the hospital and bought a luminary in my honour. Lots of good wishes and lots of support from everybody." The Tillsonburg Relay for Life will surpass a grand total of $2 million in this 11thyear running.
