A robbery in the City had police respond to the area of Kipling Crescent and Springbank Ave. As a result, an 18-year-old Woodstock resident was arrested and facing numerous charges.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have arrested and charged a man after a robbery.
The incident took place on Tuesday, September 20th as officers went to the area of Kipling Crescent and Springbank Ave at 8:30 that morning.
During the investigation, it was determined that a physical altercation took place, with an edged weapon being drawn on the victim, who was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injures.
Officers were able to arrest the suspect, who is 18-year-old Woodstock resident Benjamin Thaddeus Thomas Bear.
Bear is now facing charges of, Robbery with a weapon, Assault causing bodily harm, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5000, Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000, and Mischief.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police also say the investigation is ongoing.
