The sculpture art kits are going to replace the winter break day camp programming this year and they have enough activity ideas and supplies to keep your kids busy for hours.
WOODSTOCK - The second round of Community Creation Art Kits from the Woodstock Art Gallery have arrived just in time for the holidays.
The sculpture ktis cost $75 and includes a comprehensive instructional book, exclusive access to a video tutorial, air dry clay, clay tools and essential drawing materials.
Head of Education Stephanie Porter says this is going to have to replace the winter break day camps the art gallery normally holds this year, because of the pandemic.
"The WAG Education Department is continuing to develop engaging, high quality programming that is accessible to children and families at home."
The Community Creation Art Kit program was launched earlier this year in partnership with the Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County. Porter says the Gallery has now expanded the program to the public, with the option to pay it forward and purchase a kit for a family in need. Porter says these kits will be distributed by CAS Oxford in December.
"We are grateful to once again partner with CAS Oxford on this important initiative to foster creativity and self-expression for young people in our community."
The kits have enough activity ideas to keep the kids busy for hours or even weeks. They are sponsored by Jameson Hilts Insurance Brokers LTD.
The Community Creation Art Kits are available to purchase in person, over the phone or online while supplies last. Orders can be picked up at the Woodstock Art Gallery Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
