A big storm could be heading our way according to Environment Canada.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Oxford County.
Reports from Environment Canada suggest we could be in for a big storm tonight. Strong wind gusts and heavy rain are in the forecast with winds potentially reaching 90 km/hr. The storm is moving from Lake Huron.
Environment Canada warns that strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. A tornado is not out of the question as severe weather can produce the deadly storm. We will keep you posted at Heart FM and if severe weather does approach please take cover immediately. Environment Canada warns when the Thunder Roars Head Indoors! Lightning kills and injures a number of Canadians each year.
