Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Oxford County and Brant County.
OXFORD/BRANT - There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for the counties of Oxford and Brant.
According to Environment Canada, the heat and humidity could also bring localized torrential downpours. The storm should be slow moving; meaning some areas could receive about 25mm to 55mm of rain over a short period of time.
We might also be in for wind gusts up to 90 kilometres an hour.
UPDATE (2:50 p.m.) - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued.
UPDATE (3:51 p.m.) - The severe thunderstorm warning has ended, but a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect.
