The Annandale National Historic Site wants to know how the pandemic has affected your life over the past year.
TILLSONBURG - The Annandale National Historic Site is in the process of documenting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Collections and Exhibitions Specialist Jen Gibson says they're encouraging local residents to share any pictures or stories they have.
"So many people think that their own story isn't important to history but we're the ones living the historic moment right now. This is your chance to let the future people of Tillsonburg know what it was like for you as a current person living in Tillsonburg."
Gibson has already obtained pictures of closed businesses and parks. What she's really looking for right now is a glimpse inside the average family household.
"What was it like to home school while trying to work at the same time? In the future people might not be able to understand what it was we were going through trying to work and schedule home schooling at the same time or even virtual schooling and what that was like."
Gibson is also documenting the COVID-19 outbreak at Maple Manor. She has already saved some stories about it and she's willing to accept submissions from those who have been affected.
Submissions can be e-mailed to jgibson@tillsonburg.ca or they could be mailed to the following address:
