Five people were arrested in a hemp field in Bayham overnight on Monday, one of them was injured and the Special Investigations Unit has invoked their mandate.
BAYHAM - The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after five people were arrested in a local hemp field.
OPP made the arrest on Monday, just after 3:00 a.m at a hemp field in Bayham. They were responding to a report of suspicious vehicles in the area.
One of the people arrested, was injured and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Anytime someone is injured during an arrest, the SIU will invoke it's mandate. It was the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine unit that responded to the call.
No other information on this incident is being released at this time.
