OPP arrested a 27 year old man from Six Nations of the Grand River last night on charges of attempted murder and robbery after a shooting in Ingersoll on Sunday.
INGERSOLL - A 27 year old man from Six Nations of the Grand River has been charged with attempted murder, following a shooting in the Town of Ingersoll on Sunday.
Police arrested and charged Forest Reginald Whitlow on Monday with the crime. On top of the attempted murder charge, Whitlow is also charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, dangerous driving, 2 counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and arson.
Police say Whitlow shot a man, while trying to steal his truck on Sunday in Ingersoll. The victim, Kirk Carter is still in the hospital with serious non life threatening injuries. A GoFundMe for Carter and his family has already generated over $10,000.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock, Ontario for a bail hearing on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
