BROWNSVILLE - Nobody was injured after a small plane crashed into a field south of Brownsville Road in Oxford County.
OPP and EMS were called to the crash site on Wednesday afternoon around 4:30. The two people inside the plane, the 65 year old pilot and the 63 year old passenger were not injured. Police say the plane was attempting to take off from a field when the pilot experienced mechanical issues that caused the plane to collide into the field.
The Transport Safety Board of Canada and the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre have taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
