WOODSTOCK - The AJ Baker Public School in Kintore has helped raise over $80,000 for the Terry Fox Foundation over the past 35 years.
Representatives from Toronto were at the school yesterday to present the school with a 35 year pennant. Grade 5 student Meredith Baldwin says she is proud of her little school.
"I am very proud that our school has been raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation for that many years."
Teacher Sarah Hodgkinson says the school has raised over $83,000 over the past 35 years.
"They brought us a pennant and a comically large cheque for the total amount that our school has raised since 1983."
The school was presented with a massive cheque to symbolize all of the money they have raised for cancer research over the years.
