Oxford's What the Health team will be showcasing The Emoji Movie during their next Smoke Free Movie Night.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health's What the Health Team is getting ready for their annual Smoke Free Movie night.
Youth Engagement Coordinator Michelle Alvey says the six year tradition will continue in Southside Park on Friday July 20th.
"The purpose of the event is to highlight the important issue of smoking in movies. We have conclusive evidence that the more kids and teens see smoking in movies the more likely they are to start smoking themselves."
They will be screening the Emoji Movie this time around.
There will also be lots of fun activities; including face painting, button making and some games.
Alvey gives us a sneak peak of the schedule for the evening.
"Activities start at 7 p.m, the screening starts at dusk for probably 8:45 p.m. and in lieu of admission families are being encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item."
