A snowmobile rider from Norwich Township was airlifted to the hospital with serious life altering injuries late last night.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - A snowmobile rider from Norwich Township was airlifted to the hospital with serious life altering injuries late last night.
Police and fire were called to a trail west of Base Line and north of Norwich Road around 11:30 Thursday night. A 52 year old rider from Oxford County was ejected from their snowmobile after crossing over a lane between two fields. Moments later a second rider hit the 52 year old as he was laying on the ground.
Ornge Air Ambulance was brought in to airlift the 52 year old to the hospital in Hamilton. The rider is being treated for life altering injuries.
The investigation is continuing and updates will be provided when new information becomes available.
