WOODSTOCK - The Southside Home and School Association was able to raise over $5,700 at the Drive One for your School Fundraiser at Woodstock Ford.
Woodstock Ford donated $20 for every test drive they did back on September 16th.
All of the money raised will go towards new playground equipment at Southside Public School. Chair of the Association Lauren Musson...
"Southside is getting a renovation right now and with that the school is bound to grow a little bit. The playground equipment at the school is over 20 years old and has needed to be replaced for awhile now. We finally decided last year to do a big push with the fundraising and we are trying to raise $100,000 to get two new accessible, inclusive playgrounds at the school so that every child can enjoy some fun healthy activities at recess time."
Musson says so far they have raised over $34,000 and have several more fundraiser's planned to reach their $100,000 goal. The next big fundraiser they are doing is a 50/50 draw.
