All of the new cases confirmed today are in Oxford County and every municipality in the County currently has at least 2 active cases.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 10 new cases of the virus this morning and 1 recovery
We currently have 48 active cases of the virus in the region with 43 in Oxford County. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:
Woodstock - 17
Norwich - 11
South-West Oxford - 4
Ingersoll - 3
Zorra Township - 2
Tillsonburg - 2
Blandford-Blenheim - 2
East Zorra-Tavistock - 2
Aylmer - 4
St. Thomas - 1
To date we have had 7 institutional outbreaks at Long Term Care Homes. All of the outbreaks are currently listed as resolved.
The number one symptom that has led to a positive test in the region is a cough, followed by a fever. Other symptoms that have resulted in positive tests include fatigue, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath and nasal congestion just to name a few. 17% of people who have tested positive in our region were asymptomatic.
