OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 8 new cases of COVID-19 today including another case in Tillsonburg.
The region currently has 32 active cases after the Health Unit also confirmed two more recoveries. The bulk of the active cases is in Alymer with 15. Here is the complete breakdown of active cases right now according to Southwestern Public Health:
Aylmer - 15
Bayham - 6
St. Thomas - 5
Central Elgin - 1
Tillsonburg - 4
Norwich - 1
To date, the Health Unit has tested 16.068 people for COVID-19. We have 122 cumulative confirmed cases, 84 cases have been resolved, 5 people have died from the virus and we currently have 32 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. All of the outbreaks are listed as resolved.
