Southwestern Public Health has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 today in Elgin County and Tillsonburg. We also have a new recovering, meaning the region has 9 active cases.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 today.
The new cases are in Elgin County and in Tillsonburg. They also confirmed another recovering, meaning we currently have 9 active cases of the virus, with 8 of them in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 14,435 people for COVID-19. We have 96 cumulative confirmed cases, 82 cases have been resolved, 5 people have died from the virus and we currently have 9 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. All of the outbreaks are listed as resolved.
