Southwestern Public Health is reporting 9 new cases of COVID-19 this morning. We now have 32 active cases in the region including 8 in Woodstock and 6 in Aylmer.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - We have nine new cases of COVID-19 within the Southwestern Public Health Region and no new recoveries.
This brings our total number of ongoing cases to 32 and you can find the complete breakdown below:

Ingersoll - 3
Blandford-Blenheim - 2
East Zorra-Tavistock - 2
Bayham - 2
Dutton/Dunwich - 2
Southwold - 2
St. Thomas - 2
Tillsonburg - 1
Central Elgin - 1
West Elgin - 1
Four people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital and two of them are in the ICU.
The Health Unit says 85.7 percent of eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 80.4 percent have been fully vaccinated.
