Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another death related to COVID-19 in the region today, bringing the total to 3.
OXFORD/ELGIN/ST.THOMAS - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed another death related to COVID-19 in the region today.
This is the third confirmed death from the Southwestern Public Health Unit which covers Oxford, Elgin and St. Thomas. The Health Unit did reach out briefly to confirm that the deceased is a man in his 90's from Elgin County, he died in the hospital and our thoughts are with his loved ones.
The Health Unit is currently reporting 26 active cases of COVID-19, 3 people have died and 6 people have made a recovery. Locally we have 8 confirmed active cases in Oxford County.
They include 2 cases in Blandford Blenheim, 1 in Woodstock, 1 in Norwich, 1 in Ingersoll, 1 in Tillsonburg and 1 in East Zorra Tavistock and 1 in Zorra Township.
