Snow could change to freezing rain overnight on Thursday making for a messy commute on Thursday night and Friday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Oxford County and the surrounding region.
Snow moving into the area on Thursday afternoon could change to freezing rain overnight.
Latest indications suggest snowfall amounts ranging from a coating to perhaps 5 centimetres are possible before it switches over to freezing drizzle or freezing rain. Some rain is possible near the Lake Erie shore in areas where the temperature manages to nudge just above the zero degree mark.
Motorists are being reminded to drive to the conditions and plan ahead by giving yourself plenty of time to reach your destination. The Thursday afternoon and Friday morning commute may be both slow and messy.
