Heavy rain is expected to start around 8 pm tonight with the potential for as much as 30 mm by noon Friday. Heavy winds with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h are also possible for Friday afternoon.
SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO - Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of Southwestern Ontario, including Oxford County.
They warn heavy rain will start tonight and continue into Friday.
Locally we could see as much as 50 mm of rain with thunderstorms hitting some areas, with most areas getting between 10-30 mm of rain. The rain will taper off around noon Friday.
Severe winds with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h are expected in many areas on Friday afternoon.
