You know it's bad when even criminals don't want to pay gas prices these days.
OXFORD COUNTY - One man has learned if you're going to steal a car...try to at least find one with a full tank.
While on general patrol yesterday afternoon, a member of the Oxford OPP noticed what seemed to be a broken down vehicle on the 401 east of Oxford Road 29. The officer stopped to help the driver, only to discover the vehicle has been reported stolen from Ottawa.
41 year old Waltere Garande has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars. He has been held for a bail hearing.
