Stratford Officers Spat on and Bit While Transporting a Criminal to Jail

Police say a man spat repeatedly all over the back of a police cruiser while being taken to jail and even bit an officer while flicking bodily fluids at the other.

STRATFORD - Stratford Police arrested a 37 year old man for at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Tuesday night on several minor offences. 

He was held overnight for a bail hearing. The next day the man apparently assaulted a Special Constable. No injuries were sustained
during this incident, however; the male continued with his aggressive behaviour and damaged property at the police station a short time later. The male was subsequently charged with Assault Peace Officer and Mischief Under $5000.

While being taken to jail the man spat repeatedly all over the back of the police cruiser, and; while being escorted into the jail, the male bit one of the officers and flicked bodily fluids at the other. 

No injuries were sustained during this altercation and the male was able to be taken into the Stratford Jail without further incident. As a result, further charges were laid for two counts of Assault Peace Officer and Mischief Under $5000.
