Briefs include noise complaints, fake money and a van ending up in the Avon River.
STRATFORD - It was a busy weekend for the Stratford police who responded to 216 calls for service over the weekend.
Officers responded to several noise complaints, however no charges were laid, just warnings.
Two 18 year old women from Brampton were arrested and charged for having counterfeit American money. Police say the women were spending the fake cash at stores inside the Stratford Mall and New Hamburg.
On Sunday morning police were called after getting reports of a vehicle in the Avon River. A 50 year old man from Mitchell crashed his van along Lake Side Drive, and hit a parked car. The crash caused the van to wind up in the river. The man was charged with careless driving and the Fire department was called into to clean up the debris from the river.
