Woodstock's annual Summer Streetfest will take over the downtown area from August 10th to the 13th.
WOODSTOCK - Downtown Woodstock's annual Streetfest is set to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday this year.
The annual festivities will kick off on Thursday August 10th with multiple vendors in Market Square. Rik Emmett will also hit the stage for an acoustic duo performance with Dave Dunlop.
BIA Manager Kelly Morrison tells Heart FM Dundas Street will be completely shut down on the Friday and Saturday so vendors can set up shop outside.
"It's an opportunity for them to come out on the street, set up tents and have some great sales happening. We also have the restaurants come out; some of them get licensed patios. We also have several street tents as well and buskers on the street."
Morrison says they will also be expanding their children's activities this year.
"We've got two or three great inflatable bouncy castles and we're hoping to have an inflatable pool that will allow both paddle boats and zorb balls on the water for the older kids."
Kids will also be able to take advantage of some pony rides and the Little Tracks Petting Zoo.
Things will wrap up on the Sunday with the annual Streetfest Cruise. Hundreds of cars, trucks and motorcycles will be parked on Dundas Street from 8am to 3pm.
