A stretch of Oxford Road 35 has been renamed to Devonshire Ave.
WOODSTOCK - A stretch of Oxford Road 35 has officially changed its name to Devonshire Ave.
Years ago, the stretch of road east on Devonshire, before County Road 4 was a part of Blandford Blenheim. Mayor Trevor Birtch says that stretch of road is now in Woodstock, and the name change will help make the addresses in the area consistent.
"Now that that section that was formerly in Blandford Blenheim is now within the city of Woodstock and has been for several years, it's time to get everyone's address the same."
This name change is supposed to make things easier for the residents in that area and the workers at Canada Post.
