Students in the Thames Valley District School Board are being told to bring home all of their belongings ahead of the Easter Long weekend.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Thames Valley District School Board is telling students to bring home all of their belongings ahead of the Easter Long Weekend.
The School Board says this doesn't mean that schools will be closing, they just want to be prepared if that is the case. Central Public School in Woodstock is closed right now after a positive COVId-19 case in the school community. The school board made the decision, not the health unit and an outbreak has not been declared.
Premier Ford is expected to announce strict new COVID-19 measures tomorrow, so we will have a better idea at that time.
The TVDSB is not the only board in the region where students are being told to bring home their belongings ahead of the long weekend. We have heard the same thing from parents of students in the Grand Erie District School Board.
