Police have charged four people with stunt driving since Sunday in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP have arrested 4 people for stunt driving in the past couple of days.
The first arrest happened on Sunday when officers clocked a 40 year old man from Oil Springs doing 162 km/hr on the 401 in South West Oxford. Later that night a 26 year old man from London was caught on radar doing 171 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone in Zorra Township.
On Monday and Tuesday police say they clocked a 50 year old man from Woodstock and an 18 year old from London doing 162 km/hr on the 401 in South West Oxford.
At all the traffic stops the drivers were charged with Stunt Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. They had their vehicles towed and license suspended as per the statute.
Oxford OPP would like to remind drivers that stunt driving or racing is one of the most serious and reckless forms of aggressive driving, and it puts everyone on the road at serious risk of injury or death.
