Woodstock Police are reminding everyone to plan ahead and have a safe ride home after your Superbowl party on Sunday.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police will be setting up RIDE programs in the Friendly City on Sunday night.
They want to make sure that everyone who is attending a Super Bowl party has a safe way to get home. If you are celebrating the Super Bowl this Sunday please plan ahead and arrange for safe transportation.
Police also offer the following tips if your hosting a Party
- Provide guests with plenty of non-alcoholic drinks like water, juice, soda, etc.
- Never pressure guests to consume alcohol or drugs.
- Have plenty of food available – perhaps a potluck!
- Take keys from anyone who may attempt to drive after consuming alcohol or drugs. They may be mad at you, but the alternative is much worse.
- Arrange for alternate transportation – ie. Call a cab or set up a ride with a sober driver.
- Do not serve alcohol or drugs to minors.
