Families in need of help getting school supplies are in luck as United Way Oxford is holding their yearly Supplies4Students fundraising campaign.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford is once again holding their annual Supplies4Students fundraiser.
The fundraiser is designed to help families in need who can't afford supplies for the upcoming school year by gifting them with the funds to go out and pick out their own supplies.
Executive Director of United Way Oxford, Kelly Gilson on the amount raised last year and the goal for this year.
"Last year was just over $66,000 ($66,250). And knowing that the struggle for, for so many families, the financial struggle is, is even more difficult this year. We are anticipating an increase in demand for families that can truly benefit. And so, our goal is to raise $75,000 to meet the needs of our community."
United Way Oxford has already received a $17,500 donation from the Ingersoll Communities Foundation to help support specifically the families in Ingersoll.
One hundred percent of donations goes towards the fundraiser and you can click the link here to donate or visit an Oxford County Starbucks, Little Caesers, or Giant Tiger supporting Supplies4Students.
