SWPH Confirms 35 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

The Health Unit also confirmed 2 more COVID-19 related deaths this morning and the active case count now sits at 318.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health Unit confirmed 35 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 27 resolved cases. 

The Health Unit also confirmed two additional COVID-19 related deaths this morning. SWPH will be considering all cases resolved after 10 days over the next couple of weeks as they put all of their efforts towards vaccinations. 

This brings our total number of ongoing cases to 318. You can find a complete breakdown of the numbers, based on location here.

8 people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital, including 3 people in the ICU.
