A person was bit at the dog park on Henry Street in Woodstock, causing SWPH to look into the dog.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health is looking into a dog bite incident in Woodstock.
On Sunday around 2 p.m. someone was bit in the arm at the dog park on Henry Street. The victim was bit when the owner of the dog was trying to put it on a leash, and the dog is described as a large brown/tan/grey, possibly an Australian shepherd cross. The animal owner is described as a female between her 50s and 60s with long dark hair and a dark/medium-coloured jacket and pants.
Public health officials seek information about this dog in order to assess its risk of exposure to the rabies virus.
