Southwestern Public Health now has a stable supply of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine so it will offer the shot to adults 30+ once again.
SWPH - Southwestern Public Health has been able to get a more stable supply of the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine.
This means they will once again be offering the Pfizer dose to adults aged 30+ who have a brand preference for first, second or third doses. Previously they had only offered Pfizer to people under 30 because of a supply shortage.
Local Medical Officer of Health Dr. Joyce Lock says they still urge everyone to get the first vaccine you are offered, regardless of brand.
"We still strongly advocate for the effectiveness of both mRNA vaccines - and their interchangeability - to protect against severe illness from a COVID-19 infection."
