A backpack was left behind by a suspect that attempted to rob a bank in Tavistock
Tavistock - Oxford OPP may be one step closer to apprehending a suspect that attempted to rob the Scotiabank on Woodstock St. in Tavistock shortly before 3:15pm on April 9th.
A black backpack was retrieved from the bank that was left behind after the suspect fled, but not before he got into a confrontation with one of the employees.
A vehicle was reportedly seen waiting out front - it's described as a White, Dodge Ram pickup truck 2500/3500 series, 2009 or newer model, 4 door mega cab, the truck was equipped with after market roof lights, sunroof, and a bug deflector.
The description of the suspect was male, black, 5 foot 9 inches, in his early 20’s, with a slim build, wearing grey sweat pants, black puffy short coat, a black hood with a black ball cap peak underneath, black gloves, black shoes and a white shirt.
OPP ask residents to call 911 immediately if they notice someone matching this description.
