WINDHAM - A teenage driver has been found at fault for a fatal crash in Windham.
According to the Norfolk OPP, two vehicles collided at the corner of Windham Road 9 and Windham East Quarter Line Road at around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday June 6th. A 17-year-old died at the scene and two others were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
After further investigation, police have determined that a 16-year-old driver is responsible for the crash.
They have since been charged with careless driving death, careless driving causing bodily harm, and having a passenger under 16 without their seatbelt on. They also only had their G1, so they have also been charged with not having a qualified driver in the vehicle with them.
