Testimony from the lead biologist in the Michael Rafferty murder trial continued Thursday morning. Jennifer McLean told the jury that the "Shaq" running shoes found in the field near Mount Forest were examined through DNA testing but showed insufficient results. A second pair of shoes found in Terri-Lynne McClintic's home were also tested. McLean testified that a mixture of DNA profiles from one female and one male were found however no comparative analysis could be matched to Rafferty or Tori Stafford. McLean also confirmed that the two blonde hairs found the black peacoat that was taken from Rafferty's home did not have enough DNA for testing. Defence lawyer, Dirk Derstine has cross-examined McLean. Derstine has been putting great emphasizes on the limitations of DNA as well as other testings. The Crown will be directing their focus now on Rafferty's past and his connections to the Mount Forest area.
