Zorra Township is in the midst of hosting their official council meetings at the three public schools in Zorra. The meeting tomorrow morning will happen inside the Thamesford Public School.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - The Zorra Township council meeting tomorrow morning will be at the Thamesford Public School.
Every year the Township conducts official council meetings at the three local public schools. They bring in the gavel, Township staff, the Mayor and councillors and the meetings run like normal and our open to the public.
Mayor Marcus Ryan says they will listen to delegations from each public school as well.
"Grade 5 students usually make a delegation or a series of delegations to council, because that is the year they do Government in their curriculum and ask council for things and make presentations, council quizzes them, just like we do for anyone making a delegation, it is really exciting and it is usually the best council meetings of the year."
Ryan says the meeting on Wednesday morning will be held at the Thamesford Public School.
"We had our first one two weeks ago at the Highland Park Public School, north of Embro, the second one is tomorrow morning at the Thamesford Public School in Thamesford and then the first Wednesday in November will be at the AJ Baker public school in Kintore."
