Residents of Brant County are invited to a second public meeting to review development charges.
PARIS - The County of Brant is hosting another meeting to review development charges.
Every five years, the Development Charge Background Study needs to be reviewed to update the development charges. To determine a development charge, the County of Brant must review the municipality’s anticipated growth, both residential and non-residential; the services needed to meet the demands of growth; and the capital costs for each infrastructure project needed to support the growth. Capital costs may include roads, sewers, watermains, sidewalks, streetlights, recreation facilities, library, fire vehicles and halls, ambulance vehicles and stations, etc.
The first public meeting was on May 10th. The next one is happening on Thursday May 30th from 2:00 to 4:30 pm at the Brant Sports Sports Complex in Paris.
The Background Study will be available online on May 23, 2019.
