The purpose of the one-time grant is to support organizations during their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford, Oxford Community Foundation, and Canadian Red Cross will be participating in the Federal Community Services Recovery Fund.
The purpose of the one-time grant is to support organizations during their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, it will help to ensure a stable future for organizations that play a key role in tackling complex social problems in the community.
Executive Director Kelly Gilson explains what type of community resources are eligible for the Recovery Fund.
"It's open to any organization, and charity or non-profit who are doing work in communities. It's not limited to those who are in human and social services. This program really is there to broadly support communities. It might be organizations that are working in arts and culture, recreation, or the environment. There are so many really important pieces of our community and this [fund] is here to guide and support."
United Way Oxford is hosting an information session for organizations interested in the Recovery Fund is being held February 3rd from 1:00p.m to 3:00p.m at 447 Hunter Street, Woodstock. Applications are being accepted until February 21st and can be found online here.
