Over 74,000 people across our region took a pledge to end bullying last fall. This year, the Thames Valley District School Board is determined to have even more people take The Pledge. "The Pledge" is expanding to Barrie, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Windsor. Residents are encouraged to reaffirm their commitment and to start Living the Pledge, changing words into actions. Woodstock resident and Co- Chair Julie Maltby says good results have come from it. "One of the outcomes that we're really proud of...we surveyed Principals across the district and 84% of them reported that there was a change in their culture, within their school. There was an increased awareness about bullying, or a change in attitudes about bullying and bullying prevention." To take "The Pledge" again this year, click here.
