The bus tours are scheduled for December 14th and December 21st this year.
WOODSTOCK - The Tour of Lights is back for another year in Woodstock.
Marketing and Communications Manager with the City, Colleen Collins says this event is just another way to help bring in the holiday spirit, by taking people on bus rides throughout the Friendly City so they can see all of the beautiful holiday light displays.
"This program started more than 20 years ago, from what we understand, as a way for drivers to kind of give back to the community and provide an opportunity for those who may not have other means to get around and see some of the Christmas lights that are up throughout the community."
She adds the tours are scheduled for December 14th and December 21st.
"Tickets are $3 to ride the bus and the proceeds for that go to the United Way. Those who participate, if they're able, are also invited to bring a non-perishable food donation that will be collected on behalf of the Salvation Army."
You can purchase tickets online here or by visiting Cowan Park Sportsplex, Reeves Community Complex, Woodstock Museum, and Woodstock Art Gallery. You can find more information regarding the Tour of Lights on the City of Woodstock website.
